General Information
There is a lot of information in this game that is very beneficial to know but not obvious at first. You will have to learn
either by making mistakes as you go or if you are lucky enough to find someone to explain it to you. This General Information
guide will cover a lot of the details that I wish I knew when I was starting.
There is also an official Discord that you can join with lots of information at https://discord.gg/huntroyale
General
- Hunter permanent abilities are unlocked every 5 Mega Boxes if you have a Hunter missing a permanent ability.
- Hunters can be unlocked from Mega boxes. These come at set intervals. It will scale up as you receive additional
Hunters capping out at 15 Hunters. It will then take 35 Mega Boxes for every new Hunter unlock.
- 1st Hunter - 1 Mega Box
- 2nd Hunter - 1 Mega Box
- 3rd Hunter - 2 Mega Boxes
- 4th Hunter - 3 Mega Boxes
- 5th Hunter - 9 Mega Boxes
- 6th Hunter - 10 Mega Boxes
- 7th Hunter - 12 Mega Boxes
- 8th Hunter - 13 Mega Boxes
- 9th-11th Hunters - 25 Mega Boxes
- 12th-14th Hunters - 30 Mega Boxes
- 15+ Hunters - 35 Mega Boxes
- It is possible to save Daily Quests, Weekly Quests, Daily Bestiary, and Weekly Bestiary right before a new Season starts depending on the timing. You can then claim all of these as soon as the Season starts to get a big jump on both the Regular Season Pass as well as the Dungeon Season Pass
- Damage and HP increase by 10% every level and this increase includes the damage from any abilities as you level up. That makes it a lot more valuable to take Damage and Demon Pact abilities at early levels to gain the biggest benefit. Though Demon Pact also decreases your HP by 50 which will be effected as you will be gaining less HP every level up as well. You should definitely focus on these abilities pre level 10.
- This 10% damage scaling per level also affects any damage granted by Dungeon Gear or Power Stones.
- Multishot is great to increase your damage but has diminishing returns. If your Hunter shoots one projectile and you take Multishot you will now shoot two projectiles. This is a 100% damage increase. If you take it again you will shoot three projectiles. This is now only a 50% damage increase. This is still a great ability to take as it can help you with damage and stacking but the more you get the less valuable it is.
- Attack speed is great to increase your damage but will be more beneficial if you get it at later levels. Attack speed will give the same benefit if you take it at level 1 or level 20. If you take it at an early level instead of a damage perk you may be hurting yourself in the long run.
- Taking "More XP" abilities has the most benefit early on as they will help you level up faster and reach a higher level in the end. Remember each level is an additional 10% damage and health.
- Fire and Poison damage ticks can trigger the Death Strike ability if your Hunter has it.
- It is possible to use multiple tickets on Daily Challenge, Event, and Maze. You can save your tickets for an event or hunter you prefer then use multiple tickets at once to save yourself time.
- It is possible to save and leave when playing Daily Maze. If you have just leveled up this will offer you different level up abilities. You can take advantage of this to restart multiple times to get the ability you need if you are struggling to complete your Daily Maze. This can be great if you are looking for an ability to Life Steal or Death Strike.
Hunters
-
Permanent abilities begin to unlock once a Hunter reaches level 6. At first you will be tempted to level up your Hunters
to begin collecting these abilities. Be careful though because if you level too many Hunters to level 6 you will have
too many Hunters looking for abilities at once. It is best to level up one to two Hunters to level 6 at a time and
wait until you have collected all of the abilities you need for those Hunters before brining a new Hunter to level 6.
- To Awaken a Hunter you must have that Hunter at level 10. It will then Cost 5000 Gold, 1000 Hunter pieces, 2500 Epic Gems, 1000 Dragon Gems, 1000 Kraken Gems, and 1000 Yeti Gems.
Dungeons
- Experience in Dungeons is shared! You can continue to killing monsters to level up your partner if they are fighting the boss.
- Poison and Fire damage are based off of the last damage dealt to the boss. For example, if a Boss has 1000 stacks
of Poison and you hit for 100 damage the boss will take 10,000 damage. If you were to reflect 2,000 damage the boss
would then take 200,000 damage instead. That is why it is better for the lower damage Hunter to stop attacking the boss once enough stacks
are applied if one player has a high damage Hunter or is reflecting damage.
- Reflected damage is not affected by Damage Reduction so feel free to stack as much damage reduction as you want when using a reflect Hunter.
- Dodged attacks will not reflect damage. So if you are using a reflect Hunter you will want to avoid taking any dodge abilities. If you attempt to reflect damage to the boss and dodge the attack you may lose all your stacks.
- As you are stacking with a reflect Hunter you may be losing health faster than you can heal it. You'll want to stop attacking and spawning any Tentacles from your Power Stones then reflect. This will guarantee that you are hitting the boss with the most damage possible thus getting the biggest heal possible.
- One or two Distance abilities can be helpful when playing some Dungeons to help you out range the monsters and boss. Even though it seems like you may be better off taking other abilities for more damage take a Distance ability can make it a lot easier to stay alive in Abyssal Maze for example.
- Burn explodes every 10 stacks. If you get more than 1000% Burn Effect on your Gear you will be able to apply and keep fire stacks on a boss.
- If your partner is running a Fire Set and stacking Burn damage and you have a Fire stone but less than 1000% Burn Effect you will remove stacks as you are attacking.
- Tentacles will also apply any effects that are part of your normal attack. For example, Poison, Burn, Disease, etc.
- Tentacles deal damage based on your Hunter's current damage. So if you spawn tentacles then increase your damage the Tentacle damage will update. For example, Crow gets a 500% damage buff when going invisible. If you attack to summon your Tentacles then run away to Stealth they will begin to hit 500% harder.
